On Oczy Mlody, The Lips return to form with an album no less experimental in nature, but perhaps more melodically song-oriented, recalling the best parts of their most critically applauded albums The Soft Bulletin and the gold-certified Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. Oczy Mlody may be sonically adventurous and otherworldly, yet like all of this bands finest works, its sense of wonder is more commonly down to melody and songcraft than sonic trickery or head-spinning psychedelia. If you look really close though, it does seem to confirm the existence of two songs the frontman has previously posted about.
